Enhancing Geography Education in Washington State

November 15-21 is Geography Awareness Week!

From Christopher Shearer, Director of National Geographic's My Wonderful World program:

November brings Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, the end of daylight saving time, and Geography Awareness Week! This year's theme is "Get Lost in Mapping." Everyone from the State Department to the National Geographic Channel is offering fun, engaging activities for you from November 15–21. Visit the Geography Awareness Week website to learn about maps at home, maps in school, maps and technology, and how to become a "map activist." And I have a special offer for you: Visit the site to download a free National Geographic world map. You just need paper, tape, and a world of imagination.
