Geography Awareness Week is November 16-22


Hi Everyone! Please get involved in Geography Awareness Week this November 16-22 to spread the word through our schools and elsewhere that geographic knowledge matters!

What can you do?

  • Visit National Geographic's My Wonderful World and join the campaign for geography education: My Wonderful World
  • Put on a geography event in your school (look here for ideas: http://mywonderfulworld.org/gaw.html)
  • Write your mayor or another civic leader for a proclamation recognizing geography awareness week (Govenor Christine Gregoire has done so in the past!)
