Bring the World into Your Classroom

With the Washington Geographic Alliance 2008 Summer Institute:

Society and Nature in Puget Sound

Kent, Washington
July 6-10, 2009

  • For K-12 public or private educators who teach in Washington State
  • 45 clock hours for teachers
  • Fieldwork from the Green River to Seattle
  • Featuring: city and regional planning, environmental sustainability, and urban development
  • Tuition, material fees, and field trips are paid by the Washington Geographic Alliance (WGA)
  • Each non-local attendee will receive one hotel room paid by WGA where family members are welcome.
  • In lieu of a hotel room, local commuters will be reimbursed by the WGA for mileage.

The Washington Geographic Alliance (WGA) provides teacher professional development and supports initiatives to promote the geographic fluency of America's teachers, children, and teens.
